Welcome Back x Happy 2018-2019!
Happy Fall 2018 Sisters!
If you're like many of us on the SisterPhD team, you're hoping this is your last fall semester ever. For others of you, maybe you're just joining the terminal degree student fold and you're not yet jaded (kidding). Either way, congratulations!
Congratulations on starting a new school year.
On committing to something greater than yourself alone.
And congratulations for embarking upon a journey that will be unlike anything else you've ever experienced.
Over the course of the next year, you'll see blog posts from the SisterPhD team and many of our friends/ peers on an array of subjects that interact with our experiences as Black women in graduate school. Given that each member of the SisterPhD team is in the dissertation stage, though, you might realize there are fewer post than previous years... But fret not! We've curated tons of content on our twitter and will continue to provide resources and content here.
Many of the questions people most often ask about graduate school and Black women have already been discussed on this platform, so be sure to check out previous posts for answers frequently asked questions. In the meantime, follow us on Twitter and put your best effort forward for the 2018-2019 school year.
In the mean time, check out this Scholar Noire video on the doctoral process--
Good luck sis; You got this!
